As guests watched the Coach show amidst the city sounds in the open air of Manhattan’s High Line, it was evident that British creative director Stuart Vevers has a deep affinity for New York City. The collection, clearly inspired by the city’s distinctive style and memorabilia, felt both youthful and gritty – a departure from Coach’s usual aesthetic. This season offered a fresh take on classics, targeting a new generation.
A standout moment was Ella Emhoff, stepdaughter of Vice President Kamala Harris, walking the runway, with AW24 campaign faces Storm Reid and Charles Melton also in attendance.
Following their AW24 show, which set the stage for the current bag charm trend with the Empire Carryall Bag 35 decorated with New York-themed keychains, we were looking forward to seeing what microtrends Coach had coming up next. Here are our favorite trends from their latest runway looks.
I ♡ NY Tees
I ♡ NY tourist t-shirts were the first trend that became apparent right at the beginning of the show. We saw them paired with a leather skirt and blazer on Emhoff, accessorized with a baseball cap and pointed-toe kitten heels.
Baseball Caps
A classic, baseball caps were an accessory highlight at Coach’s spring/summer 2025. We saw a ton at the Tommy Hilfiger show as well.
Reoccurring Khaki
Khaki was a frequent material and hue across jackets and pants. We love that it’s making a comeback with a newer approach through different silhouettes and unhemmed trousers.
Sweet Satin Mini Dresses
A series of satin mini dresses reminded us of Sandy Liang styles and her curated world of pieces inspired by girlhood. These came in bright colors of yellow, pink, green, purple and blue.
Stunning Suedes
The return of suede is undoubtedly in and trending across purses and outerwear.
Lots of Leather
Leather was a big part of this collection, whether you want to wear it in the form of a chic jacket or a bolder pair of pants.
Statement Pinstripe
Pinstripe is here to stay. Although Coach primarily featured the pattern on coats for SS25, this has been trending for a while already – from corsets to trousers and skirts.
Layering With Blazers
Another trend seen at the Hilfiger show, blazers are back. Dress them up, dress them down – they have a lot of variety in style beyond businesswear, from chic to sporty.
Oversized Bags
A pivot from the mini bags that have been popular for the past years, we’ve been seeing the return of oversized bags on TikTok (specifically slouchy leather totes and trendier suede ones) as well as AW24 runways. We love the transition from phone, wallet, keys into carryalls.
