Tommy Hilfiger Shared SS25 at Sea

This season the brand took guests aboard a ferry owned by Pete Davidson.

The Tommy Hilfiger Spring/Summer 2025 show took place at sea, on a decommissioned Staten Island Ferry owned by comedians Colin Jost and Pete Davidson. As a quintessential figure in New York Fashion Week, Hilfiger has been a long-time fixture on the city’s calendar. Following their previous show at the iconic Oyster Bar in Grand Central Station, the brand continues to incorporate New York’s landmarks into their presentations, celebrating both the city’s heritage and their own work. Shown from Pier 17 in the South Street Seaport, here are the highlights from his latest collection – self-described as “New American Prep.”

Plaid Is Back

While it may not be everyone’s taste, the standout pattern from the show was plaid. There was no shortage, coming in various iterations such as trench coats, long dresses, collared shirts and trousers.

Tailored Vertical Stripes

Known for their classic pieces, another recurring print was the vertical stripe. We saw these in the form of short-sleeve collared shirts, oversized dresses and tailored long-sleeve button-downs.

Embroidered Monograms

Our favorite theme was the embroidered “TH” monogrammed pieces. With the popularity of L.L. Bean’s monogrammed tote bags, we know monogramming is only going to get trendier across all types of clothing.

Trenches Galore

There were trench coats in an array of colors and designs. The collection may not be reinventing the wheel, but it reinforces the staying power of capsule wardrobes and minimalism.

Blazers Aren’t Going Anywhere

Layers included structured blazers in navy, tan and striped hues. For example, an outfit formula was a blazer on top of a collared shirt with capris and slides. We may be wearing blazers for fall, but expect it to resurface back in the spring as well.

The Tommy Hilfiger Logo

Created in 1985, the signature Tommy color logo and color palette of red, white and blue remained a go-to – including on jackets, sweaters and striped pullovers.

As the show closed with a surprise performance by Staten Island-natives Wu-Tang Clan, we were reminded of how we can always continue to come back to household name Tommy Hilfiger to embody the heart of the city – and for his preppy take on the timeless patterns and silhouettes we continue to return to season after season.
