The Sideline Style of Our Favorite WAGs

Calling upon a new generation of Victoria Beckhams.

While some people tune in for the adrenaline rush of a game, we focus on the other stars: the WAGs on the sidelines. This acronym stands for ‘wives and girlfriends of professional athletes,’ who have started attracting their own attention in both sports and style. From racer jackets to Chanel styles, these women have made names for themselves while setting new fashion trends on social media.

Tennis Starlet Paige Lorenze

Lorenze, girlfriend of tennis player Tommy Paul and owner of the lifestyle brand Dairy Boy, has developed a more mature taste during her time in the spotlight. With a love for the countryside and western aesthetics, she often opts for denim and neutrals in her free time. Court-side, she supports her beau in matching mini skirt and jacket sets, as well as strapless tops, often accessorized with Chanel sunglasses and handbags by Miu Miu and Goyard.

Sporty with Tolami Benson

Representing WAGs for a while now, Bukayo Saka’s longtime girlfriend Tolami Benson has a dolled-up sporty vibe when attending Arsenal games. A fan of the cropped shirt and mini shorts combo, Benson rocks the red white and blue colors for England. She’s also been known to wear a silver chain necklace with the letter “B” on it… we can’t help but wonder if it stands for her beau’s first name.

Alexandra Saint Mleux’s Minimalism

Charles Leclerc’s girlfriend Alexandra Saint Mleux has a minimalistic and feminine taste in clothing, leaning toward a fresh-face and floral look while cheering on her boyfriend. The 22-year-old matures her appearance for events by wearing long gowns and dainty jewelry. Saint Mleux has a large following on TikTok, where she showcases her outfits amongst other lifestyle content.

Hailee Steinfeld & Bills Mafia

Actress Hailee Steinfeld tends to keep a lower profile at games of her Buffalo Bills quarterback boyfriend, Josh Allen. However, we’ve glimpsed her game day style. We love how she styled a chic tan wool coat with jeans and a white t-shirt, accessorizing with an oversized scarf and a Bills hat.

Court-side with Ayan Broomfield

Frances Tiafoe’s girlfriend, Ayan Broomfield, calls the US Open her Met Gala. As a Canadian tennis player, she brings her knowledge of the sport to her court-side appearances. Broomfield experiments with various aesthetics. Sometimes she opts for a casual graphic tee and denim shorts; other times, she chooses a more elegant look with pleats and Chanel.

Mens’ Tennis Star Morgan Riddle

Referred to as the “most famous woman in men’s tennis,” Morgan Riddle is the girlfriend of tennis player Taylor Fritz. She lets her clothing silhouettes speak for themselves, drawing attention with her Euro-inspired ensembles. Riddle has been seen in the stands wearing oversized bows and sparkling gems that complement her love for lace dresses.

Megastar Taylor Swift

A celebrity in her own right and girlfriend of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift hardly has time to pick her own outfits, but always delivers effortless looks. Swift’s on-stage persona is glamorous and glittery, but differs from her sideline style during Chiefs games. Last season, the singer was photographed in laidback and cozy ensembles. Swift could be seen wearing Chiefs colors, and often bundled up with oversized bomber jackets and knit beanies.

WAGs Turned Style Icons

Between team merch and designer pieces, these WAGs know how to capture the attention of onlookers. These sartorial spectacles have us remembering the names of athletes’ better halves, and pinning their looks on Pinterest, too.
